I live in Georgia (southeastern united states) and i have been wanting to see them since i’ve been aware of their existence. (about 5 years ago, I’m 17) Hopefully sometime I’ll get to see them!

If you can get on to the Hurtigruten (Northern Lights Cruise company) website, you could look at their video of the Northern Lights – I’m sure they wouldn’t mind if a teacher used it in class for the edification and education of their students…..

I guess i too am one of the lucky ones, saw aurora borealis on a flight back from California to London, approximately when flying over greenland :) amazing amazing!

I guess I am one of the lucky ones! Living in northwestern Manitoba I can attest to the beauty and magnificence of the Aurora Borealis. My husband and I can sit in our hottub on the north side of our house, and toward our northerly skies we can watch in wonder!!!I am hoping to catch them this weekend!(spring solstice)

hi. i had experience seeing the aurora borealis. ive been wanting to hunt such one since my elementary. ive seen one early morning at about 4:30 a.m MARCH 4,2009 it appears yellow,red in color it is diffused. we are living on tne northern part of the philippines. BATANES.

Hi! i’m a science teacher from the Philippines – a country located near the equator. part of my science lesson is all about this so-called aurora lights. Unfortunately we can’t experience this thing here in our country and what makes it even worst is that my students are not familiar with this topic even if i tried my best to explain it to them one of the reason that i see is maybe because only a few teachers know how to use the internet and educational television channels are only available upon subscription which most of us consider this as a privilege for those who can afford to subscribe. At least i have an idea about auroras now and thanks to your blog. how i wish i could actually experience wonderful phenomenon but i know for a third world country this will always remain as an illusion.
